Mass of Thanksgiving for Gift of the Priesthood: St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society cordially invite The Parish Priest or another priest from each Parish to join in the con-celebration of the Annual Mass of Thanksgiving for the Gift of the Priesthood organised by the Society’s Dublin Diocesan Committee. The Mass will be concelebrated in St. Andrew’s Church, Westland Row on Sunday 26th November at 3.30pm. Alb and stole required. Fr. Seamus McEntee, Chaplain to the Society will be Chief Celebrant and Fr. Damian Farnon, Moderator, Clondalkin will give the Homily. Refreshments after Mass.

The Dublin Diocesan Advent Service, with Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, takes place this year in St. Gabriel’s Church, St. Gabriel’s Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3 on Saturday 2 December at 4 p.m. An invitation to prepare for Advent as a Family.

Prepare the Way of the Lord with Isaiah – Advent services will take place in the Pro-Cathedral for three consecutive Wednesdays from 11:15am to 12:30pm on November 29th, December 6th and 13th. Let us rediscover the beauty of being together along the way.

Annual Remembrance Prayer Service: A special prayer service for anyone who has lost a baby or child will take place this evening Wednesday in St. Philip Church, Mountview at 7.30 pm.

Monastery of St. Alphonsus: A Remembrance Service will take place tomorrow, Thursday 23rd at 8pm in the Monastery of St. Alphonsus, Drumcondra. Each year people gather to remember and to pray for those who have died in a gentle and prayerful space. The music will be led by members of the Dublin Diocesan Music Group.

Light Friday: Come along to Holy Cross, Dundrum for our Light Friday evening filled with TAIZE song, prayer & silence this Friday 24th November from 7.30 — 9pm. Step away from Black Friday and take time to be still with our Lord. Call into Holy Cross Church anytime on Friday evening.

The Celtic Tenors will feature in the 11th Annual Concert in aid of our friends in Kyuso Parish, Kenya. The concert will take place in Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar, this Friday 24th November at 8pm. Tickets be available in Three Patrons after each Sunday Mass and in Rathgar Late Night Pharmacy, Terenure Road East, the Kiosk, Orwell Road, Rathgar Bookshop, Rathgar Road and Roches Pharmacy, Upper Rathmines Road.

To Journey by Starlight with Carol Barry: A series of lectures over four weeks invites you to follow in the spiritual footsteps of the Wise Magi as we prepare to “Set Out” (Matt 2:9) on our Advent journey, seeking for ourselves the Joy of Emmanuel. Venue – the Margaret Aylward Centre for Faith and Dialogue, Glasnevin.
Monday 27th November and 4th & 11th December from 7.30 – 9.00pm. Also, Tuesday mornings, 28th November and 5th & 12th December from 10.30am to 12 noon

Halston Street Parish: A View Outside of Ourselves, Fr. John Kelly will launch this new book after 6pm Vigil Mass on Saturday, 25th November. This new publication celebrates our ancestors living at home and abroad two hundred years since the dedication of the church on 25th November 1817. All welcome.

Greenhills Parish is running an Autumn Programme in Holy Spirit Parish Pastoral Centre, Greenhills in preparion for Christmas. Carol Barry will give three evening presentations on Advent and Christmas. Theme: “To Journey by Starlight”. Dates are: Wednesday 22nd & 29th November, 6th December commencing each evening at 7.30pm. All are welcome to these evenings of prayerful reflection as we make our preparation for Christmas.

A Little Lifetime Foundation –Archbishop Diarmuid Main will celebrate the ALLF Annual Christmas Service of Remembrance in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, Francis Street, Dublin 8 on Sunday 3rd December at 7pm. The Garda Male Voice Choir will attend. We will remember in a special way at a time of the year all who are facing their first Christmas without their baby. Please come along and feel the unique presence of companionship, support, and love.

Pro-Cathedral Concert Series – Messiah: Join us on Thursday 14th December for our Messiah Concert conducted by Blánaid Murphy. Christmas Concerts & Events:

A Magical Christmas Experience: The Three Tenors concert, supported by Newtownpark Gospel Choir and Rockford Manor School Choir will take place in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue on Thursday 30th November at 7.30pm. Christmas Concert: Trócaire will be hosting a Christmas Gala Concert in Mount Argus on Sunday, December 3rd at 7:30pm. Admission is free, but by ticket only as there may be limited availability on the night. The evening will include favourite carols from three choirs, as well as featuring the talents of Sibeál Ní Chasadaigh, The Key Notes, Lisa Lambe (Celtic Woman) and boy soprano Adam Coates (Palestrina Choir). The MC for the evening will be Joe Duffy. A collection will be taken up in aid of Trocaire’s work. A Date for Your Diary: St. Maur’s Parish Pastoral Council Present Liam Lawton in concert “O Holy Night.” At St. Maur’s Church Rush on Sunday December 3rd at 8pm. Tickets €20. The proceeds for this concert will go towards an interactive screen for events with young parishioners in the Church.
Three Tenors Ireland Christmas Concert: Join us in St Philomena’s parish for a magical Christmas experience with The Three Tenors Ireland who will perform popular classic hits in the company of the choirs from St Brigid’s GNS and St Lorcan’s BNS at 7.30pm on Thursday, 14 December in St Philomena’s Church, Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown. A Winter’s Tale: Celebrate this holiday season on Sunday 3 December at 7.30pm in Foxrock Church with a night of inspirational and uplifting music in the company of some of Ireland’s finest musicians. Trumpeter Niall O’Sullivan leads this evening of classics alongside singing star Shona, West End star Brian Gilligan and the Ladies and Gentlemen of the Foxrock Parish Choir. This evening promises to get you in the mood for the most magical time of the year while raising funds for the incredible work carried out by The Peter McVerry Trust set up to reduce homelessness in Ireland – Tickets €20 to include mulled wine and mince pies afterwards.

Christmas Concert – Gardiner Street parish presents Liam Lawton in concert on Monday 4th December at 8pm in Church of St. Francis Xavier. Proceeds to the Jesuit Mission in Assam, NE India. Tickets cost €20 and will be available at the door.

10 Year Celebration: The Management Committee and Staff of the National Family Support Network would like to invite you to their 10-Year Celebration on Wednesday the 6th of December from 10am to 2pm in St Andrew’s Resource Centre, Pearse Street, Dublin 2. Refreshments and light lunch will be served. The occasion will also include the official launch of “Valuing Family Support – A Social Return on Investment – Report on the Value of Family Support for Families Coping with Addiction Issues”.
