Guidebook 2018:  Please note parishes should start receiving Diocesan Directories for 2018 Christmas week onwards, right up until early January.    There is still time to order guidebooks should your parish require any – (please make a cheque out to Dublin Diocesan Central Services).  Any queries email: [email protected]

An Evening of Carols and Reflections: The Dublin Diocesan Music Group is hosting a wonderful evening of Christmas song and reflection tonight – Monday 18th December at 8pm in the Monastery of Alphonsus, St. Alphonsus Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9 – all donations in aid of Child Vision (National Education Centre for Blind Children).   www.rednuns.com

 

 

On Line Advent Calendar As a unique Advent prayerful resource, the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference has provided its online Advent 2017 Calendar, which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. This year’s Advent Calendar focuses on the theme of family as we prepare together for next year’s World Meeting of Families in Dublin from 21 – 26 August. Each day during Advent you are invited to click open a virtual door where you will find faith content for family, school and parish. During Advent, families are invited to take special time together to pray, to talk, and to be together. The Spirit of Christmas Concert in the National Concert Hall with St.  Mary’s Pro Cathedral Girls’ Choir on Thursday 21st December at 1.05pm. Vacancy for Garda Vetting Administrator – Archdiocese of Dublin the Child Safeguarding & Protection Service promotes the safe care of children and vulnerable adults involved in Church activities throughout the Archdiocese of Dublin. As part of its function, this office provides a Garda Vetting service to parishes, agencies and schools of the Archdiocese of Dublin. A vacancy has arisen for a full-time Garda Vetting Administrator.  This position is offered on a permanent basis located in Holy Cross Diocesan Centre, Clonliffe Road, Dublin.  Reporting to the Director of the Child Safeguarding & Protection Service, the Garda Vetting Administrator working as part of a team will ensure that vetting processes run in an efficient and timely manner. The successful candidate will up-date relevant databases, advise service users in matters relating to the vetting process such as assisting applicants complete their application form, receive disclosures and liaise with the staff members of the National Vetting Bureau.
