Adult Faith Development Courses

It is wonderful these days that there are so many Adult Faith Development Courses available for those who want to deepen their knowledge and faith. In addition to the Catechesis courses run from Foxrock Parish Pastoral Centre throughout the year, the Archdiocese also provides a number of courses. details below.

ACTIV8 is a new course from the Office of Evangelisation and Ecumenism to enable individuals and parish communities grow their capacity to share faith with others. There are eight sessions once a month stretching over eight months. The course will explore how faith can grow: connecting with new ways of praying, the use of social media and optimising the potential of Sunday. In this course participants will grow in the skill of faith sharing and confident dialogue with fellow travellers and seekers. Faith for Life is an adult faith course designed to help you to discover new ways to live out your faith in the reality of today’s world, within relationships, family, home, workplaces and the events of daily life. It aims to help you to be more active, open, faithful, confident, trusting and willing to work for change. The course is experienced as a journey of four ‘Movements’ inviting you to explore the call you received in Baptism. The process for each weekend includes teaching, personal and group reflection, prayer and liturgy. Participants are required to attend all four weekends. This course has taken place in Dublin Diocese for the past six years and is designed and delivered, through a partnership agreement between the Archdioceses of Dublin and the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

Pathways: Exploring Faith as an Adult: Pathways is a two-year, one evening a week, Adult Faith Development course on Thursday evenings in Holy Cross College, Clonliffe Road.  Late September to May (7.00– 9.30pm).
