Speaker: Fr. Alan Hilliard

Chaplain, TU Bolton St – Author: ‘Happy to be Holy’?


Can holiness make any difference to our lives.  Alan Hilliard’s encouraging and relevant to life presentation will take us on a journey through Pope Francis’s latest writings in ‘Gaudete et Exsultate’ (Rejoice and Be Glad). He will talk about how holiness is a matter for us all and is intimately connected to a life of personal and Christian joy.


Monday, 1st April, 8pm – 9.30pm: ‘MIRACLES AND MOONSHINE’

Knock Basilica Artist and children’s book illustrator, Kate Greenaway Medal winner /Children’s Laureate


Artist P J Lynch’s personal experience of how the new 1,500,000 piece Knock Basilica Apparition Mosaic was conceived, designed and built. This presentation will be full of fascinating insights and visuals, bringing a new appreciation of the splendour of the Knock Mosaic and a unique opportunity to rediscover the value of art and beauty in our churches and sacred spaces.

Speaker:  Fr. Patrick Claffey

Divine Word priest, Lecturer in comparative religions, Trinity College Dublin


Patrick Claffey promises a thought provoking, highly researched presentation, inviting participants to acknowledge changes in contemporary culture and to reflect, engage and dialogue on how we, as people of faith, might respond to these changes . He spent 25 years as a missionary in Francophone Africa,, and holds a doctorate in Anthropology from the University of London.


Time will be allocated on each night for Questions and Answers / refreshments served after.
